I pride myself in providing the best coaching and support I can. I care deeply about doing my best for you and getting to know you on a personal level. Your goals and achievements are mine! Another perk? When you join the Kale & Barbell team, you will find yourself with a second family, a community of other strong, like-minded individuals who support and care about each other.
The difference between the two programs is the level of coaching support that you receive. Both programs provide customized training programs, access to the K&B app and email check-ins. If you are in the Strong program, I will check-in with you via email 2x per month. The Strong Plus program has weekly email check-ins and one 20-minute video chat per month. The Strong Plus program also includes technique review. You’ll record videos of yourself performing exercises and post them either to the K&B app or Instagram. I will review the videos and provide feedback on your technique. If you feel like you can hold yourself accountable with minimal support, the Strong program is your jam. If you prefer to have more in-depth coaching and follow-up, then the Strong Plus is the way to go.
Absolutely. I work with clients of all different ages and experience levels. When you sign up, you will receive a questionnaire that will ask you all about your fitness history and objectives. Once I have that information from you, I can create a training program that caters to your particular circumstances and experience. I do recommend that beginners start with the Strong Plus program, so I can keep a closer eye on you and make sure that you are training safely and appropriately.
There are many ways to track your progress, both in terms of aesthetics and performance. By taking measurements and photos, you will have a visual indication of the changes that will occur in your physique. By tracking workouts and improvements on certain exercises, you will be able to measure your performance progress. The Kale & Barbell app allows you to record all your workout results, notes and measurements. You can also upload your progress photos (or take them directly in the app). Having all of this information in once place will make it easy for you to keep track of your progress and ensure you are achieving your goals!
I have worked with a lot of clients, and realistically, you just will not see substantial results in under 3 months. Plus, there is a lot of work that goes into creating a customized program, including careful review of your past experience and current fitness objectives. I am committed to providing the best possible coaching I can, and in return, ask for a few months commitment from you. I think that’s a fair exchange!

When you subscribe to either coaching plan, I will be checking in with you either weekly or 2x-monthly via email. However, if you have an urgent question or need to contact me outside of these communications, you can definitely do so. I will get back to you as soon as I can, usually within a couple of days.
I do not currently offer nutrition coaching or meal plans, but I hope to in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled!
