Why should I choose Kale & Barbell?
I pride myself in providing the best coaching and support I can. I care deeply about doing my best for you, getting to know you and helping you achieve your objectives. Your goals and achievements are mine! A good coach/coachee relationship requires honesty and mutual trust. You can rest assured that I honor my commitments and will always have your back. And I definitely believe that if you’re a vegan or vegetarian, having a vegan coach is the icing on the cake!
I am a beginner. Is the program for me?
Absolutely. I work with clients of all different ages and experience levels. Those who sign up for one-on-one coaching are looking for a little extra oversight, programming suited to their individual needs and someone to keep them accountable. When you sign up, you will receive a questionnaire that will ask you all about your powerlifting/fitness history and objectives. Once I have that information from you, I can create a training program that caters to your particular circumstances and experience.
I AM NOT A COMPETITIVE POWERLIFTER. CAN I STILL JOIN?
YES! Regardless of whether you aim to compete or not, powerlifting is a great way to train for general strength and fitness. This style of training can be used to achieve all of your goals, even if you never plan on stepping onto the platform. You never know, though. One day you might find yourself signing up for your first meet!
How will I track my progress?
There are many ways to track your progress, both in terms of aesthetics and performance. If aesthetics are important to you, I recommend taking measurements and photos of yourself when you start (and at intervals along the way), so you will have tangible visual indications of the changes that will occur in your physique. By tracking workouts and improvements on certain exercises, you will be able to measure your performance progress.
How much notice do I have to give when cancelling my subscription?
Please give me 1-month’s notice if you are going to cancel your subscription to the Strong+Powerlifting program.
How often can I message you?
When you subscribe to the STRONG+POWERLIFTING program, I will be checking in with you regularly through the program app and Instagram or WhatsApp. I like to be available to my athletes, so don’t hesitate to contact me as needed. I will get back to you as soon as I can, usually within the same day.
Do you offer vegan meal plans or nutrition coaching?
I offer nutrition consultations via video conference through my PLANT+ service. Prior to the consultation, you will need to provide some information about yourself and your eating habits so that I will be able to analyze your current diet and offer you actionable advice. After the session, you will receive a custom macro guide and action plan to tackle your personal nutrition challenges. PLANT+ sessions can be booked as needed, if you need a refresher or follow-up after the initial consultation.
